Following the film, there will be a moderated discussion with Daniel Gumnit, CEO of Little Free Library and Terry Ross, former civil litigation attorney.
Where: Emerson College LA Campus (5960 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028)
Parking: Limited parking available on the ground floor of the building, and metered street parking or paid lots in the surrounding area. Please check parking signs for restrictions.

About the Film
When Texas lawmakers seek to review a list of books, librarians find themselves on the frontlines of a national battle. Across the U.S., librarians face the impact of uniting against library collection standards that include restrictions on race-related and LGBTQIA+ content. Drawing on historical context, The Librarians explores the broader implications for education and public life.

About Daniel Gumnit
Daniel Gumnit is the CEO of Little Free Library and brings extensive leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, having served in executive roles at People Serving People, Twin Cities PBS National Productions, Children’s Cancer Research Fund and most recently, Minnesota Alliance With Youth.
Prior to his work in the nonprofit sector, Daniel led television and digital media firms that served Fortune 500 and international entertainment companies.
About Terry Ross
Terry Ross is a former civil litigation attorney who practiced in Long Beach for nearly 50 years. From 2018 to 2024, he taught courses in law and business, ethics, international business law, and intellectual property in the College of Business at California State University, Long Beach.
